I was recently reading a quote from someone about the War in Iraq and it went something along the lines of: “I don’t like war. I don’t have that much respect for Bush. He’s about war. I’m not about war--a lot of people are not about war.” First I’ll state that I did not vote for Bush when he ran for a second term and I did not agree with going to war with Iraq but I can’t stand when people draw simple conclusions without thinking them through. Sure, Bush was not our most intelligent President to run the Oval Office, but I highly doubt that he went to war just because he liked it. I think to him, it was the only way he knew how to protect the country. Therefore, I think the people who are disgusted with the ignorance and buffoonery and make one-dimensional statements like this are displaying the same ignorance they despise.
